  • Let’s Build Homes Awarded Catalytic Funding from Arnold Ventures to Tackle Vermont’s Housing Crisis

Let’s Build Homes is pleased to announce a major grant award from Arnold Ventures through their Catalytic Funding Program for State and Regional Pro-Housing Organizations!

This is a huge milestone for our coalition and a powerful validation of the work we’re doing together to solve Vermont’s housing crisis. Arnold Ventures’ support puts us more than halfway to our $1.3 million fundraising goal.

Arnold Ventures is a national philanthropy dedicated to supporting nonpartisan, evidence-based solutions to America’s toughest challenges. Their Infrastructure team focuses on making it faster, easier, and more affordable to build the things our communities need, including housing, transportation, and energy infrastructure.

Through the Catalytic Funding Program, and with program support from the Welcoming Neighbors Network, Arnold Ventures is investing in organizations across the country that are building the advocacy infrastructure needed to create more housing.

This investment recognizes what we’ve already accomplished together. From passing the groundbreaking Community Housing Infrastructure Program (CHIP) with $2 billion in municipal infrastructure funding, to building a coalition of over 800 individuals and 250+ organizations, we’ve shown that Vermonters are ready to take bold action on housing.

This funding allows us to turn that momentum into lasting change. With this support, we’ll expand our staff capacity to support pro-housing campaigns across the state, provide resources and strategic guidance to towns pursuing housing reforms and lead the charge on major legislative priorities.

Vermont’s housing shortage has been decades in the making. Solving it will take sustained effort in every corner of our state. This partnership with Arnold Ventures gives us the organizational strength to support that work over the long haul—ensuring Vermont has abundant housing for people at every income level.
